At Shamballah Retreats in Sintra, Portugal, everything is set up to support you in delivering a retreat that feels seamless, considered, and genuinely restorative.
THE SPACE
A calm, purpose-built environment where your group can fully land. The retreat accommodates up to 13 guests across five rooms, including one quad, one triple, and three twin rooms, with four bathrooms in total, two of which are ensuite for the quad and triple rooms. The space is fully equipped for yoga and meditation, with all props provided, and offers both indoor and outdoor areas where you can host sessions, unwind, and spend time together.
Guests are provided with three daily vegetarian meals, mostly organic, with breakfast served at 9:30am and dinner at 6:30pm, while lunch is offered as a takeaway option for added flexibility. Throughout the day, there is access to filtered water and a selection of medicinal organic teas, along with a dedicated tea room where guests can enjoy relaxed meals and quiet downtime.
You can focus fully on your group, knowing everything else is taken care of. Daily cleaning keeps the space comfortable and well maintained, while a dedicated on-site staff member is available throughout your stay to assist with anything you need. From small practical details to unexpected requests, support is always there to ensure your retreat runs smoothly.

THE LOCATION
We are 10 minutes walking distance to one of the most stunning coastline in Sintra’s National Park.
With an extensive beach along the cliffs, Praia da Aguda is wild and beautiful. The access is steep and suited to the adventurous. However, peace and quiet await at the bottom of the stairs. Along the coast, 2 km each way, you will find Magoito beach. Additionally, Azenhas do Mar sits perched on the cliffs. It is a stunning and awe-inspiring village.
This location is ideal for long walks of exploration and close contact with Nature´s beauty. Our activities schedule not only include daily yoga and meditation practices, but also guided walks along the coast as well as surfing.
The Shamballah retreat venue is only 10 minutes drive from Sintra´s Cultural landscape. Notably, this area is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Its Parks, Palaces, and Natural beauty will definitely nourish your senses and imagination.
